Meet Zekry from Mollydookers

Hi Zek,

1. Why open a coffee shop after a successful career in advertising?

Working in advertising was fun but it didn't get me anywhere in my life. I wanted to do something that I love and am passionate about, and owning my very own coffee bar is something that I've always had an interest in. Choosing a career between advertising and owning a cafe...I would choose running a cafe (hands down).

2. What's you favourite coffee?

My favorite coffee is the good ol' latte (with no sugar, yea!!) but I am slowly getting used to drinking long blacks.

3. And what would you pair that with?

Hmmmm, anything that is edible or probably with good music.

4. Favourite place to travel in the world?

I have no bad memories of my travels. All the places that I have travelled are my favorites. But if you gave me one place to choose, I would choose Amsterdam..purely because it's AMSTERDAM!!!!

5. Where do you go for coffee? If you even drink coffee?

Since I own a coffee bar, I usually go there to drink my coffee :)

6. Favourite thing on the Mollydooker's menu?

It varies by the week..sometimes it's the latte, some week it's the mocha and sometimes it'd be the flat white.

7. What movie can you watch over and over again?

There are 2 movies that I can watch over and over again - Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan.

8. Nasi Goreng or Nasi Lemak?

Thats a toughie, because I like em' both. Ok lah, I choose Nasi Lemak but only if it's from Village Park.

9. Favourite website

www.facebook.com

10. If i was prime minister for a day ____________

I would help the less fortunate...cliche, but yeah.

selamat hari raya

i was blessed with the opportunity to head to terengganu with my good friends idding and ezzart. lots of kueh raya, keropok lekor, air jagung, sirap ais and nasi minyak and great hangouts. probably the best experience was having the chance to meet the locals and to do what they do, hang out where they hang out and to eat what they eat. Terengganu kids definitely love to lepak and they most definitely love vintage 'bundles' and their nasi dagang. it's funny how most people in asia show love by feeding you. i'm not complaining.

see you next raya!
